Conveniently located in the heart of Hexham, we have designated parking at the rear and easy drop-off at the front, right opposite Orchard House Veterinary Centres.
With over 10 years of grooming experience, our passionate and IPET Level 3 qualified team provides high-quality grooming services tailored to each dog’s needs, ensuring every pet feels comfortable, relaxed, and looks their best.
We also offer free one-to-one consultations, giving us the chance to meet you and your dog, discuss their coat type, and choose a style that suits both of you perfectly.

Melanie - Salon manager
My name is Melanie and I've been grooming for over 10 years. Dogs have always been my biggest passion in life and I'm so grateful I get to work with them every day!
I have one dog of my own, her name is Poppy, she's a 13 year old Border Terrier and she's my absolute world. She is also the inspiration for our name, Dotty Dogs, as she inherited the nickname Dotty when my little niece was learning to talk and couldn't say Poppy so called her Dotty instead.
I'm looking forward seeing you all and your lovely dogs in my new salon!
SOPHIE - STYLIST
My name is Sophie and I have been a dog groomer for over 10 years and have worked in the dog sector for over 12 years. I've always loved dogs and I have 2 working Cocker Spaniels called Ella and Cobi who love to keep me on my toes!
I have worked with Mel for 10 years and I am over the moon to be joining her in a brand new salon.
Graham - grooming assistant
My name is Graham and I am in the early stages of learning to be a dog groomer. I am married to Mel, and my background is in finance and pet care, so I am her unoffical bookkeeper! I also work at Orchard House Veterinary Centres, where I have worked for the last 11 years.
Poppy is my dog and my little bestie. Those who know me know I am a little bit border terrier obsessed!
Mel & Sophie are great dog groomers, and even better people, so I am honoured to be able to assist them and grateful they put up with me!

Please ensure all dogs are on a secure collar or harness that is not likely to slip off easily when attending your dogs grooming appointment, especially if your dog is nervous or flighty. If you need to borrow a slip lead we have plenty in the salon you can borrow, or if you need help getting your dog out of the car please do just ask us.

We have a designated parking space behind the salon.
To access it, turn up the road between Antonio’s Hair Salon and The County Hotel.
Please park only in our marked space, as the others belong to our neighbours.
If our space is taken, nearby parking options include:

There is a two car space directly outside the front of our salon. Please be aware this is a shared parking spot so it may not always be available. These spaces are directly outside our salon, but please be aware they are quite close to a main road, so extra care is recommended when getting your dogs in and out of the car.

We have created a map for your ease of where you can find all these car parks. Our recommendation if you cannot get parked outside, or at the rear of our salon is to use the Wentworth Car Park. It is a very short walk up the salon from there.
